Pooja Walia is a dynamic and passionate individual who recently achieved the prestigious title of Mrs. Canada Globe Curve 2024-25, marking her very first attempt at pageantry. She is thrilled to represent Canada at the Mrs. Globe Curve 2025 pageant in California this June, bringing both her personal achievements and the rich vibrancy of her Indo-Canadian heritage to the international stage.
Born and raised in Chandigarh, India, Pooja moved to Dubai and later to Canada with her family, where she now balances her work as a PSW, dance teacher, and yoga instructor. Her journey embodies her commitment to family, health, and giving back to her community, all while continuing to shine in her pageantry journey.
Pooja is a devoted advocate for Seniors’ welfare and is the founder of Golden Grace, Every Senior Matters, an initiative born from a deeply personal experience. After the heartbreaking loss of her mother during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pooja was unable to be by her side in Uttarakhand due to travel restrictions. This sparked her passion for ensuring that no senior has to face such hardships alone. In 2023, she transitioned from her career in HR to pursue a Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification, dedicating her life to caring for seniors in long-term care facilities in Toronto and a retirement home.
In addition to her advocacy for seniors, Pooja is a trained Classical Kathak dancer and a certified yoga instructor. With a career spanning over two decades, she has performed in Bollywood films, shared the stage with the legendary Ghazal singer Jagjit Singh, and played the role of “Krishna Tulsi” in the iconic TV show “Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki.”
