Dr. Patricia Gonde is an inspiring and dedicated educationist with over 34 years of experience in teaching, spanning both public and private schools. She currently serves as the Head of Academics at Lusitania Primary School in Harare, Zimbabwe, where she has played a pivotal role in academic leadership. Rising through the ranks from an entry-level teacher in 1991 to a respected leader, Dr. Gonde is a passionate advocate for educational equity and has worked with both resource-rich and resource-poor institutions.
Dr. Gonde’s commitment to educational excellence has earned her multiple prestigious local and international awards, including the Global Educacio Eagle, Golden Globe, and Global Teacher Award 2022. As an international speaker and researcher, she actively contributes to discussions on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and women’s empowerment.
She is also the founder of Heartfelt Teachers Network Globally and Girls Leading Our World, organizations dedicated to advancing education and gender equality.
Dr. Gonde has also represented Zimbabwe as a diplomat at the Best Diplomats Dubai conference 2024, where she addressed critical issues like the digital divide and its impact on SDG4, SDG8, and SDG9. Through her transformative work, she has helped marginalized communities, especially girls and women, gain access to education and entrepreneurial opportunities. Dr. Gonde continues to be a beacon of hope and leadership in the world of education, leaving a lasting global impact.
